Local Issues
I didn't become an MEP in order to promote the EU. I want us to govern our own country. I go to Brussels to speak up for British interests and the people of the East of England. At the same time I want to make the best of the EU for the benefit of the UK and our local economy, working closely with local businesses, farmers, fishermen and young people and getting out and about to hear the views of people across our six Eastern counties. So I am involved in a wide range of issues at international, national and local level.
